Confirel joins the promotion of local products in Cambodia

From February 24 to 27 took place in Siem Reap the 16th exhibition of Khmer products and fruits and vegetables organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the provincial authority.

Pan Sorasak , Minister of Trade stressed on the ministry’s official Facebook page that the campaign for the purchase of Khmer products is a major point of its trade development policy.

“This campaign is intended as an alarm signal to wake up Cambodians and encourage them to support local products rather than turning to those imported from abroad, explained the minister, insisting on the constant improvement of the quality of “Made in Cambodia” thanks to increasingly well-trained producers to adapt their know-how to the needs of the market and consumers.

As Cambodia sees new international horizons open up with the creation of free trade zones for its products with China, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, it is important that Cambodian consumers demonstrate their confidence in national production, notes the ministry.
